1. Introduction

Welcome to PrayerApp.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PrayerApp mobile application, website, services and related features (collectively, the "Service").

PrayerApp provides a digital community where users may share prayer requests, offer encouragement, pray with others, share testimonies and connect with members of the community.

By creating an account, accessing or using PrayerApp, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

In these Terms, "PrayerApp," "we," "us" and "our" refer to the company or legal entity operating the Service. The identity and registered address of the operating entity will be provided before public launch.

2. Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age requirement applicable to your location to use PrayerApp.

Unless a different age requirement applies under applicable law, you must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

By using PrayerApp, you represent that:

  • You meet the minimum age requirement.
  • You can legally enter into these Terms.
  • You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.
  • Your use of PrayerApp does not violate any applicable law or regulation.

If you are under the age of majority in your country, additional parental or guardian requirements may apply.

PrayerApp may restrict access to users in certain countries or regions.

3. Your PrayerApp account

Certain features require you to create an account.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information.
  • Keeping your login credentials secure.
  • Maintaining the security of your account.
  • Activity that occurs through your account.

You must not:

  • Share your account credentials with others.
  • Create an account using false information for the purpose of deception.

PrayerApp may require account verification before allowing access to certain features.

4. How you may use PrayerApp

PrayerApp grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

You may use PrayerApp to:

  • Offer respectful encouragement.
  • Share testimonies.
  • Comment and participate in community discussions.

You must use the Service lawfully and responsibly.

Your use of PrayerApp is also subject to our:

  • Community Guidelines.
  • Safety & Reporting Policy.
  • Money & Solicitation Policy.
  • Content Moderation & Appeals Policy.
  • Privacy Policy.

These policies form part of the rules governing your use of the Service.

5. Your content

You may create and share content through PrayerApp, including:

  • Prayer requests.
  • Testimonies.
  • Comments.
  • Messages.
  • Images.
  • Profile information.
  • Other content made available through the Service.

You retain ownership of the intellectual property rights you have in your original content.

However, when you post or submit content to PrayerApp, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, display and distribute that content solely as necessary to operate, improve and provide the Service.

This licence ends when your content is deleted from the Service, except where:

  • The content has been shared or copied by other users in a manner permitted by the Service.
  • We are required to retain information for legal, security or safety purposes.
  • Retention is reasonably necessary for dispute resolution or enforcement.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share any content you submit.

Do not upload content that belongs to another person unless you have permission or another lawful right to do so.

6. Your responsibility for what you share

PrayerApp allows users to share personal experiences and beliefs.

You are responsible for the content you post.

You must not share content that:

  • Violates applicable law.
  • Violates another person's rights.
  • Is fraudulent or deceptive.
  • Harasses or threatens another person.
  • Exploits another user's vulnerability.
  • Violates our Community Guidelines.
  • Contains prohibited financial solicitation.
  • Contains harmful or illegal material.

PrayerApp does not guarantee that user-generated content is accurate, truthful, complete or reliable.

7. Religious and spiritual content

PrayerApp is a platform for users to share prayers, testimonies, beliefs and spiritual experiences.

Users may express personal religious beliefs and experiences.

PrayerApp does not:

  • Verify prophecies.
  • Guarantee spiritual outcomes.
  • Verify miracles or healings.
  • Endorse individual theological positions.
  • Confirm that a user has spiritual authority.
  • Guarantee the accuracy of religious advice shared by users.

Content shared by users represents the views and experiences of those users and not necessarily those of PrayerApp.

You should use your own judgement when interacting with religious or spiritual content.

Nothing on PrayerApp should be considered professional medical, legal, financial, psychological or emergency advice.

8. Financial solicitation

PrayerApp is not a financial, fundraising or payment platform.

You may not use PrayerApp to:

  • Ask other users for money.
  • Solicit donations.
  • Request financial contributions or "seed offerings."
  • Sell spiritual services.
  • Require payment for prayer or spiritual guidance.
  • Conduct fundraising campaigns without express authorisation from PrayerApp.
  • Share payment information for prohibited solicitation.

Violations may result in immediate content removal or account restrictions.

9. Direct messages and interactions

PrayerApp may allow users to communicate through direct messages and other interactive features.

You are responsible for your interactions with other users.

PrayerApp does not guarantee:

  • The identity of other users.
  • The accuracy of information shared by users.
  • The intentions of another user.
  • The outcome of interactions between users.

Use caution when communicating with people you do not know.

Never share sensitive personal or financial information unless you understand and trust the recipient.

You may block and report users through available safety tools.

10. Prohibited conduct

You must not use PrayerApp to:

  • Harass, threaten or intimidate others.
  • Exploit vulnerable users.
  • Conduct scams or fraud.
  • Request money from users.
  • Manipulate users through spiritual or religious pressure.
  • Impersonate another person or organisation.
  • Send spam or unsolicited commercial communications.
  • Share prohibited sexual content.
  • Exploit or endanger minors.
  • Promote violence or serious unlawful activity.
  • Collect user information without permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts or systems.
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service.
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without authorisation.
  • Circumvent security or moderation measures.
  • Create accounts to evade enforcement.

11. Moderation and enforcement

PrayerApp may monitor, review, remove or restrict content and accounts as described in our policies.

We may use:

  • Automated systems.
  • Artificial intelligence.
  • Human review.
  • User reports.
  • Other reasonable safety and security measures.

We may take action including:

  • Removing content.
  • Restricting features.
  • Limiting account activity.
  • Temporarily suspending an account.
  • Permanently removing an account.

We may act without prior notice where reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service or others.

12. Intellectual property

PrayerApp and its associated software, branding, logos, designs, interfaces and content are owned by or licensed to PrayerApp and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer or otherwise exploit PrayerApp materials except where permitted by applicable law or expressly authorised by us.

The PrayerApp name, logos and other brand elements may not be used without permission.

13. Third-party services

PrayerApp may use or link to third-party services.

These services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

PrayerApp is not responsible for third-party services, websites or content that we do not control.

Your use of third-party services is subject to their applicable terms.

14. Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable Service but cannot guarantee that PrayerApp will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

We may:

  • Modify the Service.
  • Add or remove features.
  • Perform maintenance.
  • Temporarily suspend access.
  • Discontinue features.

Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of significant changes.

15. Disclaimer

PrayerApp is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee:

  • That prayers will be answered.
  • That spiritual outcomes will occur.
  • The accuracy of user-generated content.
  • The identity or intentions of users.
  • That all harmful content will be detected or removed.
  • That the Service will always operate without interruption.

PrayerApp is a technology platform and community service. It does not provide professional medical, legal, financial, psychological or emergency services.

If you need professional or emergency assistance, contact an appropriate qualified professional or emergency service.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrayerApp and its operators, employees, partners and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

This includes losses arising from:

  • User interactions.
  • User-generated content.
  • Reliance on information shared by other users.
  • Unauthorised access to accounts.
  • Service interruptions.
  • Content moderation decisions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

17. Indemnification

Where permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold PrayerApp and its operators harmless from claims, damages, losses and expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of applicable law.
  • Your violation of another person's rights.
  • Content you submit through the Service.

18. Suspension and termination

You may stop using PrayerApp at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

  • You violate these Terms or our policies.
  • Your use creates a safety or security risk.
  • We are required to do so by law.
  • We reasonably believe your account is being used fraudulently or unlawfully.

Where appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to appeal.

Termination does not affect obligations or rights that, by their nature, continue after termination.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make significant changes, we may provide notice through:

  • The PrayerApp website.
  • The mobile application.
  • Email.
  • Other reasonable means.

The updated Terms will take effect on the date specified.

Your continued use of PrayerApp after the updated Terms become effective may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms, where permitted by applicable law.

20. Governing law and disputes

These Terms will be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the PrayerApp operating entity is established, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

The governing law, jurisdiction and dispute resolution provisions will be finalised when the PrayerApp operating company and primary legal jurisdiction are confirmed.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

22. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and applicable PrayerApp policies, form the agreement between you and PrayerApp regarding your use of the Service.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
